East Bengal-SACKS!!!

Just thirteen more days to the i-league.East bengal's three foriegn recruits are out of the team.No discussions,no rumours..every thing went in a pace faster than thier play.The Argentian ,the brazilian and the chech all is out of the team now...Don't ask the qusetion why did they select them?.East bengal -such a strong club of the nation has astonished every one.
Sacking is not a new term to the football.We had watched a number of coaches ,players sacked all over the world..But when??The middle of the season,the end of the season..when the team failed to match the expectations.But here the coach is safe.East bengal,one of the prominent club in india are defining new football mangement principles..they changed the rules..They sacked their players before the game..They sacked their foreign recruits..Not at the middle not at the end in the beginning.

What does this mean ?This clearly identify the flaws in club  mangement,their scouting and all...Four straight losses is not a reason for any club to disperse its team.This will surely affeect the morale of the other players of the team.

Just two weeks left,will they be able to get proper foriegn substitutes.Even if they do so can they build a competitive team within two weeks?Wait and see..

Oh!SAFF cup is here -in December

Its here!! the SAFF cup 2009.The AFC announced officialy the dates for SAFF cup 2009.The championship is from december 1 to 15.Bangladesh will host the event.After watching the impressive win of india in nehru cup,i was thinking what is next???i searched and searched ,but didnt find anything..Heard saff cup here and there.AFC u16 chmapionship is there but what the senoir team is going to do?. someone said india pak relation is not good..pakistan players may find it diificult to get visas  if its played in india and all..Oh ho! ..its a sport!!why politics?Sometimes politics is required to pressurise..may be..Let it

 A lot of people watched the nehru cup.The final match with filled the entire stadium.So we cannot say that indian football dont have any spectators.There should be matches played in the regular intervals.This is what indian football lacks or lacked.We win one game..When is next match????No one knows!!!!Any way for the last one or 2 years things are changing in indian football.Slowly...

It ended in the shootout.Shootouts are interesting  for the spectators as they have some exciting final moments.For the players ?i dont know!.They have to play for 120 minutes in the heat and one of them is going to be a villain.Jayanta ...Most of them had missed it in the past.. Mohun Bagan beat chirag united in the second semifinal of the IFA shield 2009.So as expected on this saturday the i-league runners up vs the i-league champions.

Churchill Brothers vs AirIndia.First semifinal for IFA sheild.IFA shield as some of you know is one of the oldest tournaments in the world.But the standards!!u all knw it..
Churchill won the match in penalties.Tommorow if mohan bagan wins the second semifinal against chirag united we can see a tight contest on the saturday.ESPN telecasted today's match.That is great!!!!They will telecast the semifinals also..But i couldn't watch.I dont how these players can play at 3:00 clock in the afternoon.

SAFF cup 2009 shifted from india

Its realy sad that SAFF cup which was expected to held in india from december 2009 is shifted to bangladesh(probably).We had a good chance to win it with the home crowd and build the confidence for Asia cup.
The other side is that we will get the chance to play away fixtures.This is also very important for our preparations for asia cup.The last three tournaments which we won were played in india.
We also lost to Honkong in the away fixture.
The SAFF teams won't be a big challenge to india.With current form we can beat them all..So there is absolutely nothing to worry about where the matches are going to be played..

AFC U16 championship 2010 (indian fixtures)

India is placed in Group D for AFC U16 championship 2010 Qualification.

Indian U16 team is seeded 7th in west asia.This gives hope for indian football considering the current rankings of senior national team.
